Welcome to Basil & Birch — a collection of good food, beautiful places, changing seasons, imperfect homes, ambitious gardens, and the occasional decision to book the flight simply because life is short.
Here, food doesn’t need to be complicated to be memorable. Travel doesn’t need to be luxurious to be extraordinary. And a beautiful life isn’t something reserved for someday.
We’ll cook. We’ll plant things. We’ll wander through places we’ve never been. We’ll make the house beautiful, change our minds, celebrate the seasons, eat the bread, buy the flowers, and occasionally take the long way home.
There will be recipes worth making twice, destinations worth getting lost in, honest travel notes, things I genuinely love, and plenty of life in between.
